September Happy Dog Box Updated Review

Hello lovelies.

I wanted to do an updated review of the September Happy Dog Box with a price comparison.
September’s box came with six full sized products.

1. REDBARN Naturals Wrapped Pig Ear
2 individually wrapped ears included. I was not able to find these for sale wrapped individually but rather a bulk bag of 10 ears at
Est. Cost: $1.99/ear

2. REDBARN Naturals Rodeo Roll
Cost: $6.96

3. Loving Pets Grill-iscious All Natural Beef Treats 4 oz. These were probably my favorite treat in this box.  The ingredients list consist of only beef and sweet potatoes!! I will definitely buy these again and highly recommend them.
Cost: $7.16

4. Brew Buddies Malted Barley Dog Treats 6 oz.  They’re shaped like beer bottles!! Cute.
Cost: $4.79

5. Ruff Dawg the Football Flyer
This is a launch, chase, retreive toy. It also floats and smells like vanilla! I was unable to find this exact toy, there is a similar item called Gladiator on
Cost of similar toy: $6.99

Total estimated value: $29.88

For myself this box was a win beings I only paid $5 for shipping.  I think the overall value if you had paid full price for a one month subscription at $29.99 may not be worth it. However, the company offers lower rates if you sign up for 3 or 6 months at a time. Also considering that some products may be hard or impossible to find could be a + for some. Another positive is all products are made in the great ol’ U.S of A.

Please comment on your opinions of price comparison for this box or what you thought of the products.

Food For Thought Friday

Homemade Pear Butter

I spent an afternoon  picking pears with family. Look at those blush pears…so pretty. Here’s one of the recipes we used.

10 pears
1 Cinnamon Stick
1 Cup Brown Sugar

We were low on brown sugar so we made some! Just need molasses and sugar.

Peel, core, and cube pears. Then throw all your ingredients in a large pot on the stove. Cook on low/medium heat for about 4 hours, stirring occasionally.

Once the pears easily split in half with your stirring spoon transfer to a blender.  Puree until applesauce consistency.  Stores in fridge for up to 3 weeks. We loved eating it like it was applesauce, on toast, or with cheese and crackers.

September Happy Dog Box

Hello lovelies.

So excited to get my first happy dog box in!! Here’s a peak at what was inside.

The theme for the September box was Football Season! Inside it’s equipped with your pooches own little football by Ruff Dawg, Loving Pets Grill-liscious treats, Omega Paws Brew Buddies, and 3 pigskin inspired pork chews by Red Barn Inc.

My pups personally loved both bagged treats! Comment below on what your dog has loved from their Happy Dog Box. To sign up for a monthly subscription visit
